Many people think link building is all about sharing links and sending mass emails to fellow webmasters pleading for a link exchange. One Way Links are far more important.

2. A link needs to be from a website that is relevant to your niche. For example if you have a fishing website, a link from a site that sells knitting yarn is not relevant and not worth a great deal.
3. You may think that your goal is to get as many links to your website as possible FAST. This is a common myth. In fact you are actually damaging your website by doing this. Google is not daft, it has very clever googlebots that work tirelessly to root out spam and link farms. If your website is seen to be receiving masses of links in a short period of time your website WILL be sand boxed. I link build very carefully, making sure you get the right amount of links from the right places. I call it a drip system.
