Prior to starting with us, the site had a poor SEO health (75%) due to a number of technical and onpage issues. All of this had a negative impact on how Google crawled the website and ranked the pages.
Our Approach:
Our strategy first and foremost was to fix the technical issues holding the website back, improve rankings for events and attractions, which would then improve online visibility in order to generate new visitors to Kent.
We had to identify relevant keywords for each event and attraction that would not only generate traffic, but generate quality traffic with the right intent. By doing this, it would ensure that those visiting the website had every intention of attending an event or visiting an attraction.
Implementation:
Our first step was to fix the biggest technical issues – there were broken links, missing meta descriptions, duplicate content and more. We worked our way through these, and after those were completed we then ensured each page had a relevant and optimised title tag and meta description.
Once all the pages had been optimised, we started to see really good improvement to the keyword rankings and website traffic.
